Building Pittsburgh’s Future Workforce

One of the greatest challenges facing our industry is attracting and developing the next generation of skilled professionals. That’s why BAMP’s Professional Women in Building Council is partnering with NKBA and KBIS to bring Build My Future: Trades Discovery Day to the Pittsburgh region on October 1, 2026.

This interactive event will connect students and aspiring trades professionals with careers in construction, remodeling, design, manufacturing, and the skilled trades. Through hands-on activities, career exploration opportunities, and direct interaction with industry professionals, attendees will gain a better understanding of the many rewarding paths available within our industry.

The event will be free for attendees, and organizers will work with schools and community partners to help address transportation needs whenever possible.

We also need your help reaching the students and organizations that can benefit most from this opportunity. If you know of a school, career and technical education program, workforce development organization, youth group, or other community program that may be interested in attending, please share the event flyer and send their contact information to BAMP. We will add them to our distribution list and keep them informed as event details, registration information, and transportation resources become available.
